We are seeking a motivated & experienced carpenter to work with our site team. The successful candidate will be able to carry out all forms of carpentry, have a keen eye for detail, be able to work well with others and work unsupervised when required. This role will also involve guiding and leading apprentices. You will be punctual, reliable and well-presented.

White card is essential. Your own vehicle and unrestricted driver's license are also essential to enable you to make your own way to site efficiently.

We are seeking a motivated Estimator to meticulously budget and price our projects. This is a pivotal role, with the incumbent being responsible for providing strategic, accurate cost estimates to support Modify and Profile Property Group construction projects. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial viability and success of the company’s operations.

About the role

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs

• Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify all relevant cost components, seeking clarification where required to ensure accuracy of pricing

• Collaborate with construction manager, project managers, contracts administrators, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information and ensure buildability has been considered in pricing

• Develop and maintain comprehensive cost databases to support future estimating efforts

• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations to improve project profitability

• Participate in project bidding and tendering processes (Profile Property Group), or prepare cost information for internal design clients (Modify) providing expert cost advice and support

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a construction Estimator, preferably in the commercial or residential sectors

• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost drivers

• Proficient in the use of estimating software and spreadsheet applications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information

• Effective communication and negotiation skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
